Battle between the Swedish army under Gustav Adolph and the Imperial army under Wallenstein
Two events occurred during this battle
First one Gottfried Heinrich von Pappenheim, commander of a troup of about 10 000 horses and feet, was deadly wounded
This little group is from von Droste (now at Fechner); it is not really accurate because Pappenheim was probably killed by an artillery bullet; engraving Daniel Lepeltier
But the figure is nice though a little heavy
[attach=1]
Second event, the death of Gustav Adolph, king of Sweden
The two other groups are from :
Sivhed, not the best quality of design, from a painting by Carl Wahlbom; engraving Lecke (?)
[attach=2]
Krannich, which gives another interpretation; engraving ??
[attach=3]
I do not know which one is the nearest of reality (if anybody knows...)
Scale of the three is a little bigger than 30mm

Egon Krannich has subscribed the group and also engraved.
Here is a picture zm garment of the king.
Koller made of lined with silk Elchlesder Guner, the Gustav Adolf wore at his death at the Battle of Lützen.
The bullet hole in the back is clearly visible. Here Wurd eder king hit by a pistol shot. Where another bullet Gustav Adolf has left forearm at first wounded, the sleeve has been cut away. Right front of Koller has a puncture, resulting from a marked muchedged weapon (suf the picture is not visible). ;)

Thank you, Wolfgang
I always like to have the most complete background when I paint a figure
