As my efforts continue to find a suitable figure(s) for the naval artillery regiments present at Leipzig, I discovered some fascinating information.
Going through my collection of Societe des Collectionneurs de Figurines Historique, in the Year 34, No.1, Jan-Feb, 1964, there was a short notice listing
the release of a series of figures created by Jacques Meyniel. The series was titled "Troupes de Marine at Mockern 1813", and was comprised of 14 figures.
Further information noted the series was available at the Paris shop "Guilbart" plus SEGOM. In Germany the figures were available from Ochel. Jacques Meyniel's Paris address at the time was listed as; 139 rue de Rome. My continued research discovered that M.Meyniel also produced a series of Horse Artillery of the Guard, Chasseurs a Cheval of the Guard and Grenadiers of the Guard.
Does anyone have any further information as to what happened to the molds of Meyniel's work and from who they may still be available?

Russ

Whoooops, I goofed...
In the mid 80's, Jacques Meyniel has sold the moulds to Neckel, where they exist under the reference JM in their Napoleonic range.
But are they still in the hands of Neckel?
When the old M. Neckel died, the molds where shared and some resold to Fechner or Scholtz...

Thank you for the information

Grobere,
Thank you for the information regarding the Meyniel figures.
A search of Scholtz resulted in 2 sets of French carabinier in bearskins.
The search of Fechner revealed nothing, but they do have a listing of "marine-fusiliere halt und karree z.B. Mockern". I found these figures last year
when I began my search for Meyniel's marine artillerymen at Mockern. Those listed in the Fechner list do no correspond with the list of Meyniel.
Regarding Neckel, I do not think they have a website, nor do I have a catalog. They are listed on several websites under the "links", but are they still
in business?
The search continues!

I just know an Email address:
Neckelzinnfigur@aol.com
M. Rolf Neckel understand only the german language, but is very friendly and willing to answer any questions about the Neckel inheritance.
As I am not interested in the Napoleonic period, I have never been curious about those figures, which could still be the property of the Neckel Family.
Good luck!

Russ,
If you wish to send me a message with your email address I can send you a PDF copy of Herr Neckel's catalog. Seems like a pleasant fellow.
