Good to see you about again Eric!

This does remind one of how fine a painter Terana was, I love his colorful clean style.  It also makes me ache a little for this set of Valois royalty, a set which at the moment is quite rare to find.  (I am also unaware of anyone producing the figures any more which is a shame.  They certainly paint up well in the hands of a talented painter....  Elizabeth at Tilbury is another in the same category to me....colorful time period and very rare set of figures.)

Such character and vivid colors, really beautiful zinnfiguren that are wonderful to see; thank you for showing them.  Is there a book on Terana's work?

Dear Henry
It is sometimes hard to say who is the painter because the photos do not always give the right impression
I join some Terana's figures and you will see they are different

Good informations about the editors, designer and engraver
But I think the painting is not from Terana, not his way
Eric

Thank you, Eric. Why do you think that? From my side, I can add that I've compared the rendering of the faces with another set that I'm certain is from Terana, and they are exactly the same. Do you happen to have any other painter in mind?

And for many years these figures were in Neckel catalog. Sold to BZ around the year of 2000.

Oleg, that's right, in attach the page from an old Neckel catalog with this set (FK-72-77).

Yes, Felix Keller is correct as the Editor and most proberly was the drawings made by Lucien Rousselot and for sure is the set engraved by Alfred Krunert.

Unfortunately I can not help - but the paintwork is outstanding!
You are a lucky guy to have them.
