Tin Figure Fair Kulmbach
9th to 11th August 2013
[/font][/color]1. Location of the Fair
[/font][/b]"Tent" on the “Zentralparkplatz” (central car park),
diorama and figure competition as well as the presentation of Tin Figure Museums
and collector associations in the “Stadthalle” (Civic Centre).
[/font]2. Fair Office
[/font][/b]For the duration of the Fair from 9th to 11th of August 2013, the office will be situated
in the Fair Tent and will be manned by employees from the German Tin Figure
Museum and the Tourist Service.
[/font]3. Visit to the Fair
[/font][/b]Opening times are:
Friday, 9th of August 2013 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.,
Saturday, 10th of August 2013 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and
Sunday, 11th of August 2013 from 9 a.m. to 12 midday.
The Tin Figure Fair is open to everyone!
No sales will take place in the Fair Tent out with the opening times.
[/font]4. Kulmbach Tin Figure Series
[/font][/b]On the occasion of the Fair, a new commemorative Kulmbach series will appear
which will be presented in the almanac together with an overview of the series and
figures issued previously.
[/font]5. Almanac
[/font][/b]Among other things, the almanac contains a general report on the Tin Figure
Museum, the programme of the German Tin Figure Fair with an index of all the
exhibitors, the presentation of the commemorative series and an extra concordance
list of all the tin figure manufacturers. A comprehensive section of advertisements
informs the collector.
[/font]6. Bequests
[/font][/b]Bequest items which may be received can be appraised at the Fair Office.
[/font]7. Figures and diorama display
[/font][/b]Lovers and collectors are invited to show their own diorama, displays, figure
compositions and single figures - flat and full-figure - in a special presentation in the
hall of the “Stadthalle”. Teams of judges from, among others, the association of
friends of the German Tin Figure Museum will award prizes for the works. The
exhibits can be handed in on Friday from
9 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The prize winners will be announced on Sunday at 10 a.m. A modified process of
judging also allows newcomers to have a real chance.
[/font]8. Museum Opening Hours
[/font][/b]During the Fair the Museum is opened daily from 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
[/font]9. Note on the Legal Provisions
[/font][/b]Tin figures and other objects may only be exhibited, sold or acquired for the purposes
of civic enlightenment, in defence against unconstitutional endeavours, art, science
and teaching, reporting on current or historical matters and for other similar purposes.
[/font]10. General Note
[/font][/b]Please use the "Plassenburg-Express" to visit the museums. Bus Stop: Stadthalle
No parking ground for private cars. No turning options for coaches.
