Thanks Mark, Joerg, and Alexander. I enjoyed looking at the line drawings.
For those interested in the whereabouts of the Thiel figures, I made a small catalog of the figures that are now with Mr. E Reisberg. He has a large number of the Franz Biebel molds that Mr. Thiel bought in the 1930s.

Alexander Baden also provided a number of nice drawings, included some colored and a list.
As Joerg mentions some of his collection is a bit rough but, overall it is quite interesting.
Regardless, a very nice set of information on an editor that is still sought after so valuable to have. (Not to mention for those of us who enjoy the history aspect of vendors an interesting window into this as well.)
I should have it all online this weekend, major thanks to Jorerg and Alexander for their kindness.

Thanks Mark
They say that everything comes to those that wait. Didn't realise how long the wait would be

Folks, please keep you expectations down!
There are a certain number of pictures, more or less suitable
and a number of text pages, hardly to read.
That will be all.
And at least three groups of figures are not with Knoll (never have been I think).
These figures have a notice on the page.

Well, no question, Alexander is proably right,
but I just scanned a stack of paper, showing Knoll figures
(got them years ago from Ms Knoll, the mother).
It is more than 33 MB, so I think I cannot post it here.
Will try for another solution.

Alexander anything you can do would be very appreciated. You can send me the pages or a ZIP file to my personal email and I will post here or we have a DropBox account you could use it that would work better for you?

Dear Mark,
there was never a true catalogue but a typed list of 1991 with its numbers referring to the Thiel list numbers and a few b/w drawings from Thiel intermingled. I could scan that but it might be too big for posting but I might try.
Best regards
Alexander
P.S. Best source for his figures is Kulmbach as his friend Mr. Meinecke always has some of his figures for sale there.

Thanks Bob let's see if we can get lucky?
According to the journal, catalog may be too strong a word but, they have had a collection of individual sheets that can be provided. They were offered at one time via the Journal for order as well.

Hello Mark,
I was always told that Knoll does not have a catalogue, I have been trying for years to get one.
If you go onto Alexander Baden's website and troll through his Thiel listings you will find that many of them show the Editor KN which is |Knoll and you can compile a list from there.
Kindest regards

Do any of you fine flat folk have a copy of the Knoll catalog that you could send me a copy of via email or other electronic means?
Very curious about this editor who has a nice article in the Journal by Bistulfi with some wonderful painted Napoleonic figures he shows.
If you can provide copies can you send me a message here please and I can give you my email details.
