Title: Papal Guard - Fechner
Post by: marko on August 06, 2016, 12:41:30 PM
An interesting set I purchased from a gentleman in the UK for the Papal Guard.  Figures are absolutely beautifully engraved and cast.  No marks on the bases which are oval - I am guessing Scholtz?

Bistulfi's site, as is not uncommon, inspired me with a similar set he has on his site:

Figures should make a colorful bunch.

Thank you Henry, would never have guessed.  Beautifully engraved particularly the flag, complete with heraldry and the captain's sword which has a corkscrew pattern on the blade.  Impressive for a figure this size.
