http://www.zinnfigurenfreunde-leipzig.de/g31.htm (http://www.zinnfigurenfreunde-leipzig.de/g31.htm)
To mark the anniversary of the Battle of the Nations is currently being built for a new diorama Dölitz the gatehouse.There is the hitherto little noticed fights
present in the south of Leipzig.
The pictures document the emergence and to the current status
The first figure is the diorama, so we can at this point here are the secrets of the Leipzig diorama building airing:
1 always the right mediums [attach=1]
2 modern technology in the diorama [attach=2]
3 and plenty of nature
4 Housing program, from day laborer house, elegant apartment buildings and
suburb residences to 1813. [attach=3]
My task is to solve the Building Program.
I address a contemporary techniques as known in model railway area.
The windows and some other elements were cut by LaserCat technique in scale 1:55.
Main component of the model homes are 2mm papp,
covered with a self-hardening Modeliermasse clay.
In this Modeliermasse different representations can be a model.
Here are some pictures of the almost realistic representation, with damaged windows, cracks in brickwork, wooden beams and bricks.
- The house under construction

- The building kompette "The Saxon House" in color with a lot of equipment. The roof is not covered brick!

A very interesting project Wolfgang and agree it is important to use the right medium. ;D

20 plus years as a 360 and loading shovel operator, loads more on beer ;D ::)
-
:D
Thank you guys,
even if the operator of the tin figures Museum in Leipzig, the light has turned and the door has closed, we can not bring us down.
Other buildings are finished. So I can show you further. In our work rests painters, we await the decision of the City Council to look into the future.
The permanent exhibition is an important medium to be operated public relations work.
a few day laorers cottages.
how they stood until 1900

part 2
It's finally here. The houses can be placed at their location.
Some must be changed as found in this sample preparation itself, which is bounded on the spatial schedule line.
But that's normal.
Here you can see the left side of the diorama, some trees are provided test.

http://www.zinnfigurenfreunde-leipzig.de/vereinsleben.htm (http://www.zinnfigurenfreunde-leipzig.de/vereinsleben.htm)
So even after his "Sleeping Beauty flabby" .... we continued to work on the diorama Connewitz 1813.
I hope I can show more soon. :D :D :D :D :D
-
Yes it's been gone a few days into the country.
Now that we have of the Leipzig Verinigung the collector, green light,
we can build diorama at Connewitz again.
Here are a couple pictures for reference sample and the background scenery.
I think I can show compelling material of images in the nights and days, weeks.
Currently we are working with high pressure on the left side dioramas, so the side with the French troops during deployment duch the district.
The Middle Part dominated by the bridgehead.
And the law too is characterized by the deployment of troops Östereischen in the riparian forest. The surface Dimensions Length about 2.00 m and the depth ca.1,50m.

-
That looks fantastic .A lot of loving work .
-
Super looking piece of work. Not sure about the scale of the beer bottle!
Thanks for showing.
John R
-
Really looks exciting, will love to see the completed Diorama, would love to own those beautifully done buildings as well!
Ray
-
In the current phase of construction, model houses and scenes are for uniting with each other. with so we get a smooth transition to the background.
[attach=1]
Since due to the size of the dioramas, we are in the rear part been watering start working.
part - creation of the landscape on the background (here at Jörg Hensel)
an other part, auserhalb with work on the site.
we see the incorporation of the first trees and create the paths in the grounds around the church mountain.
Well before a preview of the wedding with horizon scenery and models.
Anticipation nor the info. all figures are provided with metal studs, inserted only at later time in the ready mode lined and colored ground. Thus we have no problems with the footbed of the figures.
Unfortunately, the mill in Vodergrund will not fit because we ran out of space. A andeutug which one can imagine Duch of the the River Ruhr.
-
Today was the further work on the transition to the background theme.
Allso tuning the sizes verhältnise of houses and trees ....
Also, the substrate is provided with pieces of modeling clay and grass mats ....
Here we take a reference sample for the trees. It is very important to us here, to get the riparian forest as realistic as possible over. Without our other figures in the Forest disappear from.
We decide to a "V" shape to draw up the trees.
In the middle of the front, the biggest and most beautiful and copies should be available.
To the rear the smaller trees are staggered used ..
-
Paralel I started in the foreground a further piece of sugar to prepare.
The Connewitzer mill with a section of the building, which immediately other windscreen is later.
[attach=1]
-
Again a few weeks have passed.
But we were not tired!
In the foreground, the module of the Connewitzer mill with mill race and weir finalScore.
Now the grasslands have received their first tender green.
[attachimg=1]
-
Some insights into the mill.
There, French infantry are entrench.
[attach=1]
-
Some beautiful work Wolfgang thanks for keeping us up to date.
John R
-

sandor

Ray

Landscaping is making progress.
Here Christan Bähr in the greening of its "grass masters"
Some part of the bridge over the Pleiße, are already visible.
[attachimg=1]
In midfield and on the left, The flags are positions for big trees.
this would interfere with the time at which machining surfaces.
-
Nice job guys Willie
-
water world
Today we start with the waters.
Even the background wurdwn last changes made.[attachimg=1]
For the presentation of water surfaces we decided for a 2K Resin what transparent cures absulut.
-1. location
Resin was inked with pikmenten and spilled into the river running.
previously been realized, which is sealed off every Sekment the diorama.
a leak or to avoid unangeneme blistering.
now mus the resin only to dry. the Solte happen in 24 hours.
Sinks were filled and already from tares.
-2. location
then the first figures are used in the river.
then provided with another resin containers this is also color pigments.
-3.Lage
Pure casting resin without adding color.
-4. location
applying water effect, (turbulence, waves...)
-
that really is looking very very good :)
-
Water splashes and other effects for the river crossing of the French Infantry
[attachimg=1]
Today I want to use a new product.
It is a wise Geel, which is stable and transparent cures.
The ideal product to modelieren to water waves and splashes diverse.
-the mass I modeled with a wooden foot.
-after a few hours, the begint Geel to tocknen and already become somewhat transparent. Aushertung after 24 hours according to the manufacturer!
- But only after an extended period (1 week), the result,
Substans as plastic and completely transparent.
Note;
also this product can be dyed is acrylic based.
-
Today I have the second resin layer applied in the footbed.
Particular attention was paid here to the hue.
The was color-coordinated with the orginal Pleisse water.
[attach=1]
Another, kammen the first Austrians when crossing the Pleisse in use. Here are some illustrations of the future dynamics will have this scenery.
[attachimg=1]
-
After a long period. :o
Now even the first figures are painted and for installation on the outer edge (background - scenery) ready.
[attachimg=1]
The figures have no more Fusbretchen. All figures are provided with Stalstifften. This work is something aufändiger, but the best solution for quality dioramas construction.
The garden at the mill has also been designed. :)
-
Great photo's Wolfgang. :)
-
A masterpiece from Master Craftsmen :)
Looking good 8)
-

the inserts of Figures. :o
-
Step by step it going.
Today, we have sent a swim at the splices the Austrians .... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
The figures were recasted of casting resin and provided with logically.
None of the figures is double! A result of Frank Hartmann and his creative colloquial reshape figures from other eras.
-
And on the farms in Connewitz attracts a life.
[attachimg=1]
-
Look at the now built mill and its mill ditch.
A perfect Still life so far, only without figures except a rat in the mill. :o :o :o :o :o :o ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
The "marriage" of the two segments has been complemented.
They are now united forever in diorama. It transitions to the background scenery are closed.
Figures are now step by step complemented . Even the floodplain forest receives his typical look with the big trees.
Each handle is now observes and critical comments ??? ::) ;). smart asses! ;D ;D ;D Please turn hire everyone gets his opportunity.

But the greatest joy is still seen as a piece after the other added to.
We have set ourselves the audience presentieren
the kommpette Diorama goal in the fall of this year.
Can this succeed ??????
we will probably secretly supported by the floodplain forest elves.
Figures sprout from the grassland
-

Ray
-
[attachimg=1]
In the rear area, the figures are used, and also supplemented with trees.
Now, the airbrush technique comes in use.
-
Paths and grass areas of scenery were adjusted in October 1813th ;D ;D ;D
-
Here are some hidden insights. 8)
-
I can't believe this is real !!!
A hughe work, and project, .... Hope it will be one day available to the public, it is so impressive .....
-
As said, impressive!!!
-
A mega project!
Beautifully rendered :) [size=78%] [/size]
-
It really should come true!
So slowly we come to the end of an almost four-year work.
The already weakened figures in the foreground, were now inserted and the window frames with disk past also perfect.
Now, only individual figures are painted, decoratively decorated and colorings matched.
[attachimg=1]
-
Fantastic - I wish I could see it in person but its an inspiration!
-
We will add some special effects.
So that it does not bother the astonished visitor when looking. ;D ;D ;D[attachimg=1]
-
Fantastic! please more pictures of what you added since the last photos?
-
the scenery is absolutely beautiful, figures painting in action is remarkable
Congratulations

[attachimg=1]

Sandor
-
Wolfgang, that is diorama building at its best! The water effect is excellent.What should one say - really fantastic!
(I love the "sleeping Beauty" in the mill..... :) )
Best regards
Roland
-
It is the first large building site to a diorama, where we also thought of the purely human needs. No, I do not mean the beer and the barbecue sausage and the leek cake for between times. Special the quiet place, WC. ;) ;) ;)[attachimg=1]
We also thought of the pastor's avowed friends. The ravens are flying around.
In our case, our ravens are on 0.10mm spring steel. So thus almost invisibly fixed. :o :o :o :o :o
-
the scenery :o :o :o[attachimg=1]
-

Thanks for your interest. I hope I can show still more beautiful pictures of the action environment. I would like to remind you that the diorama is a joint work. And each participant is a misterter of his compartment. Thus, the painting of the figures by S. Klisch, F. Bähr, F. Hartmann, J. Hänsel, P. Henscnel, G. Haustein, was praised.
Building and water design by me.
The gun models from the hand of J. Tiehze
The area of F.Bähr u d Ch. Bähr
The background of J. Hänsel.
Lighting by P. Hensel
So there were still a lot of helpers and sponsors to make this work. All my thanks and respect for their work.
-
After some time has moved in to the Connewitz Diorama, now come the remaining figures in action.
[attachimg=1]This gives you more and more dynamism in the landscape.
