This is an interesting series which I am also quite fond of as well. (Another reason to love flats is series like this - the history of costume!)

The only set I am aware of with 16th century Spanish court costumes, for me these brings to life the age of the sons of Gustav Wasa. The last couple in the first picture I immediatelly recognize as based on a print by Heinrich Aldegrever, as are the 1937 Kulmbach Tagungsfigures.
