Don't forget that many editors are not commercial concerns, they are enthusiasts whose aim is not necessarily to sell their figures or provide a service to anybody.  I think Mark is absolutely right, there is no harm in positively identifying editors who do respond, for the benefit of our membership, but I see no good in being critical of people who have never claimed to meet standards we may choose to expect or impose. Let's just be nice about the good guys.

As a general comment, while I agree that the tone here should be positive, any editor that is constantly mentioned a providing bad service should be made known to the members at large...as should the ones who garner consistently superior comments. How else will the slipshod editors be motivated to change and the superior ones rewarded for their efforts?

Purchasing Flats - the US Experience

One of the things I have noted as of late has been a bit of frustration from some members in corresponding with some flat vendors.  My own experience on the whole has been fabulous over the dozen or so vendors I have had the pleasure to do business with.  However, given the 190 or so we list here I am in interested in getting some general information from US members on their experience in corresponding and ordering online.

Please let me know who you have corresponded with whether communication was answered; if you ordered and how it went etc.

Please send me your impressions through the MyMessages link above rather on the site itself and I will compile some notes for those thinking of ordering.

I DO NOT want to highlight anything overly negative but, really want to emphasize the positive side of ordering such as I have had and provide some further information on responsive vendors.

We do however, have lot's of new folks and some impressions would be helpful.

Let me know what folks think and please send me a message with your ordering experience.

-cheers
