Nice work Mark, the giraffe's spots are excellent.  Appreciate the heads up on FPW, love the subject matter and will look into their offerings.

Cortum - Tribute to the Pharaoh
« Reply #1 on: February 01, 2024, 05:02:30 PM »
As announced in this forum a few weeks ago Cortum Zinnfiguren is ceasing active operations at the end of the year but, actively filling orders before then and may reopen if plans change.

I have several of the sets which are notable for their flawless engraving and quality including Tribute to the Pharaoh.  However, as I plan for retirement it was on my list to get another set to give another go and this announcement spurred me to order another.

The subject matter is quite clever with a Syrian delegation presenting gifts and tribute to the Pharaoh.

The figures are beautifully cast:

There are a number of nice painted examples out there including:

as well as some of my humble work

My advice if the Ancient World or the Franco Prussian War in particular are your fancy then place an order before the end of the year!
