Kulmbach
socko47:
Robert,
You will need the three days, easily. Plassenberg museum will take time to go through for your first time. If you have certain vendors at the Bourse you should mark them on the directory to make sure you don't miss them. There is an abundance of vendors so it is easy to miss something you are interested in or see another version of such a figure. Remember there is also a competition of figures both flat and round, so bring something to enter if you are so inclined!
AND most of all MAKE SURE YOU SIT DOWN WITH SOME OF THE BFFS MEMBERS FOR A BEER OR THREE! AND that is everyday!
Robert McArthur:
Thanks for the info everyone. I will be flying in from the U.S. east coast, but I will probably visit Fussen (Neuschwanstein) and Vienna (museums) prior to arriving in Kulmbach. I think I will stay the full three days. I've selected a hotel which is in sight of the event. I am very much looking forward to this trip. I have never been to Germany, and I have never had the opportunity to interact face to face with anyone in the flat figure world. Boxes? I'm bringing an empty suitcase.
Christoph:
Bring some boxes for figures with you...

Concerning How long ?
please keep in mind, that overlooking the figure börse is the Plassenburg
with a big figures museum and an interesting collection of 18th century Prussian equipment.

Hi Robert, firstly book hotel early in the new year, also how are you getting there? If by car then you can stay slightly out of Kulmbach but if by train ( station is very nearby ) then I suggest you stay local. I would stay at least 2 days if not the 3- there is a lot of traders and a lot to buy😃. There are also many good restaurants and bars. The BFFS have a stand so do come and make yourself known. Where are you from?
Nicholas
