A few shots of one of my other collections in my pool room - robots.

With a few Sci Fi ships mixed in... [attach=2]
These are pretty cool. They are produced from molds done in the 1930's to allow young tykes to cast their own figures. They are demi-rounds and are painted to match the old Buck Rogers comics which they are from. They are similar to Eisenbach's figures in that they are semi-flats.

Quiet list today - hopefully everyone is painting.
Mark - who is inordinately pleased his football 49ers are in the Super Bowl again :)
Also still have on my list to produce some 'true' flat figures of from the Buck Rogers comics.

The 30's spacemen are great, Mark. Painted just right in comic book style.
And I too am very happy that the 49ers are going back to the Super Bowl. It was a long dry spell for Niners fans.

Nice collection, do like the space craft on the shelf, so when are the flats coming ;)

Very nice Mark, but I don't see Robbie though ;D ;D ;D
Dam, must dash, but don't worry, I'LL BE BACK!!! ;D ;D ;D

Don't worry Robby is well represented as well as about 200 of his friends...

lovely collection Mark!
I really hope sometime and some one will engrave my favourite D.C and Marvel caractors in tin
know there will a copywrite issue, but wouldn't it be great, also Gerry Anderson's, Thunderbirds etc , even Wacky races, the lists goes on! and not forgetting all Tolkien inspired caractors in tin! engraved by a good engraver they would be a real treat to paint! but theres always that bloody copyrite issue! shame really, i Know Knight models have paid licence to produce Marvel , D.C and Tolkien figures in round at a hefty price mark for the privilege!
Gerry.

What a lovely idea! I do love the old Sci Fi of Buck Rogers and Flash Gordon but Thunderbirds are pretty cool too. They have new model kits in 1/144 scale of those ships which are pretty tempting I must say so we shall see. However, Sci Fi spacecraft similar to the WWI & WWII planes could be most interesting as well.
The ships in my picture are in resin - 1/72 scale of Mings and Flash's ships from the old movie serials.
The flat figures are also quite charming in their way. There is a small set of Flash Gordon but, not done as faithfully to the comics.
By the way if anyone is so inclined they are available on EBay, I could supply an email to folks - the gent who has of all the molds was very pleasant to deal with.

Have you looked at the Fritz Menz set of Martian Landing in Journal 75 page 12?
-
Yes, that is right up my alley and is one I am also hunting for as well. The goofy pre-Star Trek era seems to be what appeals to me.
Thank you for the heads up though.
