So how about some WW2 aircraft, £4 each! dirt cheap ;D
-
I don't know how you do it for the prices Brian :o sounds like a bargain to me!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
Drawings are one thing. You can repro one off the internet or any of a myriad aircraft books. Show me the METAL. The metal is what will sell it. Or not...
And a size or scale would be good for those of us who aren't familiar with the line.
Jus' sayin'

Not sure of the scale Glen, but rest assured the metal is far better than the drawings. They are superb.
-
Here you go Glen a few In the Metal ;) all about 80mm in length

I believe these are also Western Miniatures as well - from Mike 'Cannock' Taylor's Gallery:

I personally have a large chunk of Dick Jenkins figures in my collection including two planes, WWI in my case, all have been flawless designs and castings.

Thanks Mark, yep that's them ;)
I'll post the WW1 a little later and then the Jets.
-
We'll go on to WW1 and ideal for your WW1 projects, just think 4 or 5 Camels and D7's painted in different livery :D only £5 a piece!!
-
I've done a few of these (WW I aircraft) and they are very nice pieces. I like the 3/4 view the best, as it allows for more interesting shadows and paint-up.
-
I have a couple of these as well, beautiful engravings/castings - interesting challenge.
The Taube and E III and then DH-2 would be appropriate to the early war time period with the others coming in later years.

Brian,

As it happens I sold my last two to Ed at Euro, can always get more hahaha
-
I never saw one in the western catalogue, who makes them? I would like to paint my own Jasta!
-
Have a look in Airforce One bellow Peter ;)
-
Western Miniatures by Dick Jenkins were never constant scale.
I gave him all my copies of Aircraft of the Fighting Powers and
he copied them straight off the pages.
-
Western Miniatures aircraft. Full set.
-
Tut, tut.. Just noticed the DH.2 is labelled as a DH.4. Oops.
-
Are these still available, if so where can I find them?
-
I don't know if the aircraft are available, Richard, Dick's son took over the figures and I have not heard from Richard in a long time :(
