Hi Willie, I get any books by Mr Turnbull. A good start for absolut beginners in this theme maybe "Secrets Of The Samurai" by Oscar Ratti/Adele Westbrook. By the way my very first was Samurai Warriors by Turnbull.

Hi Shogun Here are some more books on Samurai.  First is the Samurai in Color Phots by Crowood publishing . Next and I think the best are printed in Japan with English sub titles . History of Japanese Armor from the YaYoi period to the Muromachi period 12-14 century . Second The Waring Period to the Edo period. 14th to 19th century . Both books are by Ritta Nakanishi , Also check out Osprey and Mr S.R. Tunbull  Willie

Beautiful and extraordinary detailed colours and details !!! typical of the patience of Japanese (I worked with them for 20 years).  Congratulations !

Hi Ralf, nice figures and mindful paintwork!
However my knowledge about the subject is small - not considering the novel "Shogun" of James Clavell, that I read  ;D  - the colors seem to be quite authentic!
Anyway I like them - thank you for showing!
