Nice work Wolfgang! I was doing an officers of Berdan's sharpshooters, may have to change him now. Love the Tiger!

Good work Wolfgang.
Mine are still in progress but here is how they are looking at the moment.
-
Thank you guys!
Yes, Roger is a good start.
Where is the Grey .....?
-
Hellooooooo Roger!!, as Wolfgang said, one should be in blue, one in grey!!!!!
Are we confused??? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
Thank you Wolfgang.
It was probably a mistake but both of my figs are US Army, US34 & US6.
I am not confused or worried, is anyone else? ;D ;D ;D
-
:D :D ;)

I've made some progress as well. I was able to clean up and prime my two pieces during ReaperCon (gaming mini and paint company). Tried to paint, but too busy answering questions while manning our club table. Was told by a local ACW afficionado that my Union figure could be an artillery runner hauling a bag of cannon balls from the caisson to the artillery piece and that he could just as easily be Confederate as Federal.
Pressing on.

I have been toiling as well -

Hey Mark, that brown one on the right, are you sure you've painted a flat ? It looks like one of those little 1/72 figures from airfix !!!!!! :o
Very nicely done ;)

My offerings

I can not find words....
-
Both of these are full of individual character, which given the size of these is pretty amazing.
Fantastic job.

Thanks Guys glad you like them.
Not been posting for a while but there's been a lot of great figures shown in the gallery section (even Nicks ;D who happens to have more medals than Audey Murphy may I add.) Lokking forward to seeing other ACW figures.
Regards
Mike

BO****KS ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Just cos Roger's gone back to sea, doesn't mean you lot can take over where he left off!!!
;D ;D ;D ;D
For all those interested, I make my own medals out of metal milk bottle tops ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
They do smell a bit sour after a while, but it's the thought that count's :-\ :-\ :-\ ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
You deserve every one mate. Even the milk bottle tops!
Mike

@Friends,
a question concerning the technical conditions:
Brian mentioned, that compelted figures should be shown in Kulmbach.
How do we achieve this? What is the the deadline? Can I show the figures in our local collectors meeting in beginning of July or should they be transferred (to whom?)
Regards
Joerg
(a bit roughly, I admit, but just now I lack the time for searching kind and smooth sentences, sorry)
-
Joerg, no problem with showing your figures as long as I have them for the 26th of July for inclusion in the frame for Kulmbach ;)
-
I thought these weren't required before December!!! :-[
-
December is the cut off time, a small preview frame will be made if we have enough figures ready for the Kulmbach table ;)
-
Just been told some of the BFFS members have two projects running , busy, busy, busy :o well just to say you have till the end of the year to return your American Civil War Figures, but a preview frame will be made to show the figures for Kulmbach, if you would like to be included in this figures must be with me by 26th July.
I'm at Knowle the weekend for the BFFS show and AGM, if your there and finished the figures I'll gladly take them for mounting in the Kulmbach frame ;)
-
Better make this a really good one Brian, looks like it's replaced the Landschnech project for Kulmbach :o :o :o :o:( ;)
I'd better get mine started now
-
I'll send my two heroes to Brain.
Then they are no longer so for themselves....
-
Wolfgang your two lads arrived today, look better then the photos so anyone else ready to send there figures, there's a bit of a party going no now :o
-
Another set are home and ready to be framed, thanks Charles :D
-
Here are mine. Once they are properly dry they'll be on the way to Brian.
-
Sweet! These gents look highly business like. Nicely done indeed...
Mark
-
Very nice Roger.
-
Thank you chaps, I might have to invest in some of these for my own collection.
-
Here is one of mine. I had a go with acrylics. Heresy!
-
And the other side.
-
Charles! Really nicely done actually.
One must say these really are first rate figures and the group as a whole does seem to be enjoying slapping some paint on them. It is going to be a first rate display - particularly as not a lot of folks seem to be aware of the variety of costume and color present in the ACW.
I guess I need to get my pair in the mail - I have some touch ups and they are in oils so it will be a few days. I am not as into fads as the Heretic is - or perhaps less talent is involved...hmmm.
Mark 8)
-
Saw them at the AGM and they are good.
Like you Mark, I had better get my act togeather and add some paint. :P
-
Thanks chaps. I hope we have a few more for Kulmbach, looks like it will be a colourful display.
-
A photo of the temp display, just need the rest by the end of the year and a good display can be made ;)
-
Gerry's got a space on the display for Kulmbach so we need one more, who will have there figures ready for inclusion at the fair :)
-
There you go Gerry your figures for all to see ;)
[attach=1]
These where not on the display at Kulmbach as I mislaid them after Gerry gave them to me till we got home, sorry mate :-[
-
Thanks mate!
Rough painting!! sorry all! :-[ but thanks, great project!! whats next? maybe an American native
display? just up my street whats every one think? but another project wouid be good!
-
So how we all doing, am I needing to make another display yet? are you all busy painting the figures from Wolfgang! remember when finished send them to me for mounting ;)
-
Oh yes, very busy painting them!!!! ;)
-
Don't forget we're at Euro next weekend, so if your there and you would like to hand them to a member on the BFFS or 2D table that's fine and they will get to me ;)
-
If you are not networking ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
Only 2 1/2 months to get the figures back to me :o no pressure but if you've no time to paint them they have to be retuned unpainted, but I'm sure this will not be the case ;D ;)
-
Should get mine done for Christmas :o
-
Brian, I can fit in another pair if you want to send them. Let me know.
Glen
-
Just received Figures from Kevin Dunne, many thanks and that's the first frame full ,there's only a month left to get your figures to me so get them brushes wet and get them in the post even if you have not painted them we need them back so Glen and others can do more ;) ;D
Will post photos later ::)
-
Brian, if you still need them in December, I may not be an option. It's about a 4-5 day transit from the UK to TX. Add the mail slowing down some due to the upcoming holiday season and there may not be time for me to do it as I get busy with other projects as well. When exactly do you need them? If you're doing some for the spring figure show season, I can do some for those as well in between my own stuff for the Dallas Show (March), ReaperCon (April), and the Tulsa Show (June).
Cheers,
Glen
-
Mine are primed Grey, if I paint the faces that should do!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I had to go back and look but.... :o :o :o
-
Only a few weeks left, still need them back even if not painted ;)
-
Is there going to be another project for next year? I'm thinking scantily-clad babes.
Consider it as an exercise in painting soft skin tones, shiny hair, and assorted unmentionables in pastel colors... :o
Glen
-
Sorry Brian,
Good thing I can paint them since I obviously can't see them after they are painted!!!
-
Hi rm (?) 8) 8) 8)
Now the year has a few more days!
Maybe can help you Brain. Who do they want with your liveries support.
-
copied from another thread ;)
23 pairs were sent out (some from my own stash), 10 have been returned plus yours and mine which makes 13 pairs are still out there and they are.
ED, Mark, Martin, Jacques, John Fitzgerald, Ken Farrar, Benedict, Rosthwitha, Chris, Nick, Rob Hacker, Frank.H, and Malcolm.
So if you see your name you still have our figures, please send them home as soon as you can (http://www.intflatfigures.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
-
Well no figures received, 3 pairs I will collect from shows but that's all! not heard from the rest must assume they've deserted us :-\ :o
But a big thanks to all that returned there figures and to Wolfgang for supplying the figures for the project, it was fun and makes a great display ;D
-
Brian,
My two were finally mailed last week along with all of the Blue King figures. You should see them this week I assume.
