I've made some progress as well. I was able to clean up and prime my two pieces during ReaperCon (gaming mini and paint company). Tried to paint, but too busy answering questions while manning our club table. Was told by a local ACW afficionado that my Union figure could be an artillery runner hauling a bag of cannon balls from the caisson to the artillery piece and that he could just as easily be Confederate as Federal.

Pressing on.

@Friends,

a question concerning the technical conditions:

Brian mentioned, that compelted figures should be shown in Kulmbach.
How do we achieve this?  What is the the deadline?  Can I show the figures in our local collectors meeting in beginning of July or should they be transferred (to whom?)

Regards
Joerg

(a bit roughly, I admit, but just now I lack the time for searching kind and smooth sentences, sorry)

Joerg, no problem with showing your figures as long as I have them for the 26th of July for inclusion in the frame for Kulmbach ;)

December is the cut off time, a small preview frame will be made if we have enough figures ready for the Kulmbach table  ;)

Just been told some of the BFFS members have two projects running , busy, busy, busy  :o  well just to say you have till the end of the year to return your American Civil War Figures, but a preview frame will be made to show the figures for Kulmbach, if you would like to be included in this figures must be with me by 26th July.

I'm at Knowle the weekend for the BFFS show and AGM, if your there and finished the figures I'll gladly take them for mounting in the Kulmbach frame  ;)

Title: Re: Forum Malerei Projekte
Post by: marko on June 14, 2013, 03:22:03 PM
Charles!  Really nicely done actually.

One must say these really are first rate figures and the group as a whole does seem to be enjoying slapping some paint on them.  It is going to be a first rate display - particularly as not a lot of folks seem to be aware of the variety of costume and color present in the ACW.

I guess I need to get my pair in the mail - I have some touch ups and they are in oils so it will be a few days.  I am not as into fads as the Heretic is - or perhaps less talent is involved...hmmm.

Brian, if you still need them in December, I may not be an option. It's about a 4-5 day transit from the UK to TX. Add the mail slowing down some due to the upcoming holiday season and there may not be time for me to do it as I get busy with other projects as well. When exactly do you need them? If you're doing some for the spring figure show season, I can do some for those as well in between my own stuff for the Dallas Show (March), ReaperCon (April), and the Tulsa Show (June).
Cheers,
Glen
