We have a new system John.

If you join and look at the Journals on the forum, rather than a hard copy sent through the post, the cost is only £19 using PayPal. I think this relates to about $27 ;)

Hope this helps.

Kind Regards.      Nicholas

Many thanks to Mark for pointing me in the right direction to find the pictures.

I know that it was a one time favour for an old member.
Thanks!

I was asked why I am no longer a member. No specific reason. I became a fly fishing guide here in Ontario and did not have much time to paint flats.
Also, I was plagued with the addiction of buying more and more flats and never getting around to painting them. (I have lots for sale!)

At that time it was not as easy to pay for membership.

In the past we had to go to the bank, get a money order in British pounds, send it etc. Now it's a snap with PayPal. But, it is rather expensive. Almost $60 CAD for me and "the rest of the world".

Here on the "other side" flats are quite rare and not many modellers know of them. I have been to Kulmbach twice, but only because I was born in Kronach a short distance way and planned visits every other year. Until my wife caught on!

I enjoy visiting the site from time to time. It looks great with lots of information. Well done!
I feel a creeping desire to get some Samurai and start painting again. I might just round out with a new membership.

Thanks again gentlemen for your help today.

Cheers,

John

Hi John,

Can I ask you,as an ex member, why you do not wish to rejoin the society?

I would appreciate it if you could let me know, so we, as a committee know what we need to offer to get other ex members back and associates to join.

Although Mark has generously given you the information as a goodwill gesture, this has to be a 'one off' as I am sure you can appreciate.

Kind Regards.              Nicholas.   H.S.

Can't let an ex-member even a fallen one  :o  stay in need...  John check your email in a couple of minutes and you will have the article and pictures you are looking for in it.

I believe there are a few more pictures in the gallery under Geoff Barnes as well.

Hello,
I am a lapsed member so I do not have access to all areas of the site.
I was looking at an old issue of the Journal, #74 August 2004. There is an article by Geoff Barnes about his diorama of the Battle of Nagashino.
I would like to see more pictures of the figures and diorama but I cannot access the old picture archives.
Would it be possible for me to see more photos?
Can anyone point me in the right direction to see them?
Failing that option are there any sites that would have pictures of painted samurai?
I know about the Hafer site and go there often.
Thanks for all your generous help.
Cheers,
John
