I am using a small pocket camera Sony Cybershot, zoom 20x (around 200€) , and take pictures in the shows on a tripod, The zoom allows t take at long distance even, with stability of the tripod. At home also with two lamps .. Advantage on travelling = in the pocket, unlike the traditional reflex, even numerical, heavy and bulky ...
My wife uses a small Samsung 4, very convenient, excellent quality but should not move when light is low, as speed adjust to slower speed.  Downloaded at home with a cable to the PC.  So I use both, ad readjust exposition at home with a software ..
The MUST in both circumstances to get sharp pics is the tripod and for the camera, use a 2 seconds delay setting to prevent any vibration or move on pushing the knob !!!  What is difficult is adjust to proper lights (blank adjustment) ...depending on the lights in the rooms, varying even on the tables !!!  To avoid = use of flash !
This was my experience till now..

Nick to move photos to your iPad you will need to either email them to yourself or add them to iPhoto online, i.e. either will let you open them on the iPad.

I just upgraded to a iPad mini4 and am pretty pleased - much faster.

Daniel - cool photo booth - I was thinking of purchasing a small one on Ebay, yours is cooler.

Hi Daniel, thanks for the information.

I really must update myself with this modern technology, at the moment I'm as useful as a chocolate teapot!!! :o ;D ;D ;D ;D

Once I get my new iPad 2, I will have to see what and what not is possible on it. Maybe the Camera on it is better than the iphone 4

Does anyone know if you can download photos onto it from a digital camera instead? :-\

tracing paper!! now that I never thought of for defusing the light!! I've always tried kitchen paper, but to no effect
what-so-ever!!! ::) ;D ;D ;D ;D

Nicholas,
I use a camera "Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8" basic rule  automatic and without zoom
I built a studio visible on the photo
I improve my pictures "gallery windows live" (eliminating reflections and shadows) so that the picture looks like as possible to the figurine

hoping that will be useful to you

and excellent advice it is too Daniel  :)

actually, here's a question---- how do you photograph your figures, as you don't seem to get the glare that I do from using an iPhone and daylight lamp!!!

however, if  I don't use the light, all the photos are blurred.  >:( >:( >:(

Well done, Daniel! Bright colors, shading, highlighting, and the detail painting are all excellent. You should teach flat painting classes if you aren't doing so already...
