I think each of us - being flat figure-painting fans - tries to do his/her best to achieve a well-painted figure, and then show it to the community to receive constructive feedbacks.

Hi Sandor,
Thanks for the link. It is very useful. By asking you about the coat arms, I wanted to know whether this was modifyed when Wallenstein became Duke of Friedland. My intend is to paint that coach one close day.

My English is poor, so I don't really understand what Roland means. Anyway, in my mind there is not challenge beetween us.

Hi Snagy,
your Wallenstein Coach and figures are very well painted. If one thinks he could do the coat of arms in that size better - he should do.....
I did the figure set some long time ago, but still remember the difficulties I had. So, thanks for showing your work.

I found this link for the coat of arms of Wallenstein and tried to size down to the 30 mm scale:

Here is the original coat of arms and the result on the figure:

I know, that the implementation is poor, but that was all I was able to recreate it in 30 mm scale.

@Sandor, the idea of changing the group according to your personal view at the scene,
is promising.
BUT  you should work out a story, why the spectator waves his hand to a closed curtain

It was the Kulmbach set for 1981 (Buchholz/Rieger).
In the original layout Wallenstein leans out of the window and friendly waves.
According to my historical knowledge he was quite a umbrageous and cold person, so this behaviour was not
charcteristic for him.
So I cancelled his figure and added a velour curtain instead.
Here is the result:
