Thanks Brian,
I did my best with five frames in 30 mm in the competition, with three from Daniel Canet, two from Bernard Tardiff, one from Daniel Masser, two from Sandrine Canivet, two from Stephane Coudert, a diorama from Michel Dumay, so 16 out of 64 flats registered in the competition this year, so 25% of them !!
I was very pleased to see a separation of the flats this year, as it brings a strong focus on them instead of a 5% dilution in the fgurines and models, and we can so hope more next year, as obsered in the clubs that changed also their categories during the past years.
No clubs invited this year, probably space issue on top of the vendors, but BFFS is always represented and the split on the competition tales with your large BFFS display gave an excellent focus to the public on the art of flat painting, with the life demo of Eric !!
We had this year 30 artists and 64 pieces registered in competition as following:
Green: 2 artists 3 pieces
Junior: 2 painters, 2 pièces
Novices: 8 painters 14 pièces
Confirmed: 5 painters 14 pièces
Masters: 15 painters 31 pieces
Pictures are Under review, sorting and cleaning and will be added late next week in the gallery due to a long travel next week-end.
Last year: 29 artists and 54 flats, but the shows occurred n the first long week-end of Eastern holidays, not optimal for being crowded ....!
