Title: Burgunder Ritter who is the editor or what set it belongs to?
Post by: snagy on March 16, 2020, 01:17:32 PM
Recently came into my hands this 30 mm flat of a Burgunder Ritter.
It is of the very style of the figures of Karl der Kühne or Schlacht bei Murten set, but investigating both catalogs, the figure can not be found there.
On the plinth the K46 can be read, nothing more.
Any information about the editor or about the possible set it belongs to, would be valuable for me.
Thank you.
Take care!
Sandor

sure, will look, but if you have it, is this not the most important at this stage? … K for Kieler?

This figure is from Neckel (formerly R. Gerard) and part of a series "Ubergabe einer Stadt an Rene von Lothringen." The figures were designed by Madlener and engraved by Frank.

Ah, that was bugging me as I have the figure supplied by Jerry Mortimore - it has been painted once and wiped for a better effort.  (It is beautifully engraved.)

Here is a lovely rendition by Christian Terrana with the entire set:

I tried to find the set "Ubergabe einer Stadt an Rene von Lothringen" via the net, or to find who sells the Neckel sets nowadays.
With the exception of Berliner Zinnfiguren I found no editor with Neckel offer, the Berliner Z. has not the set in his offer.
Is any hints how could I get the set, or part of it (of course eBay for one, but any other source, please)??? ?
Thank you!

Taking advantage of this post,
is it possible to receive a scan of the Neckel catalog? Or is it already available in the website?

Thanks,

Claudio

yes, it is available on the net as catalog, but of poor quality, like the page of Erich, and don't know how to send it as attachment.

The page of Tinman is excellent, perhaps would be nice to have the scanning of the whole

I don't have the catalog in PDF format.

Here are a few examples of painted figures--Douchkine--from the series.

For anyone interested I do have an older Neckel catalog in PDF form which is good not great quality.  There are portions of the catalog which Herr Neckel no longer owns so you will need to ask at time before ordering.

Anyway if anyone is interested please feel free to Message me.

Hello,
this is a very nice set. I bought it two years ago and some additional figures last Kulmbach. It´s still unpainted but I hope to paint it one day.

I take a close look on Mr Terana´s painting and I´m very impressed. He painted very nice lights and shadows.
