Very interesting, I will follow your painting ...
-

Coming good ยง
Eric
-
thanks eric and michel....another steps done :)
-
here we go ..... coordination between high res photos and painting of 30 mm before correction. What I do not see by eye I need to fix like this.
-
:) ..... i started to work on chariot, i was frustrated of painting the tree :-X which i repainted to base 6 times, i need some creativity injection or else.....
anyway here is my progress and i hope i did not add too much purple to cows shadows...tips from mignot project were very usefull :)
-
Hm,
the cows lack depth. I think you should enhance the shadows.
At the other hand - if the Scotsman should be a Black Watch man (I guess it from the kilt pattern)
the cuffs and collar should be Royal Blus.
-
thanks a lot Joerg, I will play more with cows ;) and what a faux pas with a scotsman :o
-
hi lads, some steps done....i have lost in desilusion in detail to detail, some things i repainted some are awaiting :)
-
hi, please, could someone give me any idea or tip how to paint a tree??? i mean leaves..... :-X i have un-/de-/re-painted that damn tree more than 10 times and i m really not satisfied with results....

Painting trees is not easy - for me too - at the moment I struggle with a florida tree -
Have opened a new thread "Seminole Stronghold" - you can see pics and used

Well done! been following this and it took some time but you got there with a great result (-;

Excellent! There's an awful lot to paint there, you have done a good job Jozef.

Well done! So many interconnected figures; an ambitious project to be sure.
Glen

-
What's next Jozef, another big one or are you giving your nerves a rest? ;D
-
touche Roger ;D ;D ;D ....... another big one ;D I have already draw it as it is attached - everything is at home already incl. palms and trees and I made my wife happy that I m painting max 3 pcs per year which I can add on the wall.
-
That will be very nice, I'm looking forward to following your progress but I'm afraid your nerves won't be getting much of a rest. ;D
-
;D ;D ;D hahaha .... well, tough challenge infront of me :D
-
How about a camel train?
-
Step outside the box and do something you wouldn't ordinarily do - perhaps a bevy o'beauties on the Victoria's Secret catwalk... 8)
Glen
-
Jerry: thanks for a tip, I still think about some more figures to add from WM ::)
Glen: ;D ;D ;D 8)
-
Jerry I like off the wall stuff :o Do you know any thing about that picture? I have the elephant gun team. Willie
-
Willie, It is one of a fantastic album of photos I have of the band of the 6th East Surreys in India in the First World War. I think part of their service was in Aden. There are photos of them on the march, on the Northwest Frontier, rafting down a river, in quarters. There are some photos of the regimental sports that includes a running race for the band carrying their instruments - including the bass drummer! Also photos of regimental graves. Some are of the regiment on the move with a long train of bullock carts and some rickety lorries. If there is some interest I could post some of the better ones. I believe the 6th battalion was a territorial force sent to India to free regulars for service on the Western Front.

I did put some of the photos in Journal 85 as I was short of content.
