Title: Montrouge 2019 in Paris
Post by: Hannibal on April 18, 2019, 06:05:05 PM
A one day visit 10 days ago in Paris to watch the paintings and results of the contest of Montrouge 2019.

We had this year 27 artists and 50 pieces registered in competition as following:

Green:        2 artists        2 pieces
Novices:      6 painters   11 pièces
Confirmed:  8 painters   14 pièces
Masters:    13 painters   23 pieces

A bit less than last year, but the weather was very nice outside, and that week-end was the start of the two weeks Eastern holidays for the schools ...
Judgment and judges team were perfect, wih the flats agains in a separate category, a excellent asset, and some registration rules were clarified on defining what flats may include other than pure tin/lead figures, an excellent progress in this club, that we hope to see extended further in Europe during the year.  Discussions still ongoing for other specials like miniatures or other artistic forms, to attract more talents in contests, in créations...
We hope to see Sèvres innovating on this subject, as it was tacitely admitted earlier but started causing discussions recently , detremental to such exhibitions.

Detlev Belaschk was again exposing his very nice flats this year, with a fresh creation, the "Concert of the Pig".  He also came with several wonderful paintings of Andreas Reiner !

All the pictures (112) are now loaded in the Show gallery (some titles still to be added in the coming two days).
