Welcome Eric! You are doing nothing wrong in this case - I just need to double check your membership status and change your account to Member. I will do that this afternoon and send you a Message when it is done.
For others, when you initially join the Site you are set up as an Associate which gives you the ability to view all of the Galleries, pictures etc as well as participate in the general boards. This is more than fine and there is tons of content here for all of these folks who are welcome to join in and participate.
However, if you choose to sign up as a Member which has a fee involved and pay through PayPal your status is changed to Member and you have access to some other content most particularly the Journal - all 109 of which are all online. This is all automatic if you join online, i.e. PayPal is linked from the site etc.
If you have joined through the mail I need to make the change manually which only takes a moment. If others are in in Eric's situation, a Member whose status is not reflected here then just let me know and I will fix it.
