Hello Rick,

I missed also Kulmbach in 2017.... triple bypass in Turkey 10 days after my last email below, on 10 June 2017 ..
I did not go in 2019 due to family reasons, but I am now setting a 30 pictures gallery on Kulmbach 2019 with pictures of your paintings, they are absolutely astonishing !

Need to focus on your comments and technique to improve my 30mm, as it becomes more and more a passion even on my age ....

Michel

Rick, I would love to read you on this !!! I am attempting to improve the quality of painting in 30mm, but not quiet easy ...

I read your article on Axeman three weeks ago, excellent description indeed ..... !! I will go back to it.

Michel I did do a article for the US junior team on how I painted the 30mm Henry Tudor flat.. I am not to sure if I kept the article.. I have one on FigureMentors on the Axeman flat shown here.. Documenting 30mm flats is fairly hard..for painting detail I always thicken my oil paint with Windsor Newton Liquin.. Let it set a few hours before it dries.. I then have better control over the paint.. I can paint very fine detail with the thicker paint.. Give me time and I will see about re doing a small article
on painting detail especially Herardry

My good Lord, Rick   !!!!!!!!!!!!

How did you painted this ????

in 30mm, wit an electronic microscope ?? with Western Miniatures, adding so many small détails ??

or in 130 mm from Schmalkalders zinnfiguren??

????

If the first, all my congratulations, this is really a master piece in line with the Russian school of figurine painting .......

Shall we see them in Kulmbach???
