By the way I don't know if you saw these beauties:

on Facebook - "New figures painted for Alexander Baden. The Retreat from Russia set by Scholtz, some figures were modified."

They show how nice these figures can be, though these have been slightly modified with new different heads.  The work is enthralling.

Marshall Ney in coat with gun in russia is a figure by Mignot. Not so easy to get. But there is a little set "Der letzte Schuss in Russland" by Erhardt Strassburg in Leipzig. It shows Ney and 2 or 3 soldiers into the retreat.

Wanted / Napoleon's Retreat from Russia 1812 Figures
« Last post by John Hoffmann on April 16, 2026, 12:46:24 PM »
Hello all,I'm looking for some additional figures of the French retreat from Russia, 1812. I have some figures from the huge Scholtz set.I'm looking for Ney in his iconic "defiant pose" defending the rearguard, and also would like some abandoned wagons and artillery.I have not see any of these in the Scholtz set, but I have seen the figure of Ney.I cannot remember where I saw him.Any help in pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated. Thanks!

Dear Sandor,

Don't take this as a severe criticism. It is a way to enter a bit life on the site most of the time more and more silent, perhaps in suggesting other comments from visitors who show more presence that our own members ...

I am almost daily on the site, and impatient to be more active soon with paintings.  I am less a fan of Facebook that I see a a giant selfies generator to track the likes with immediate momentum, but hard to retrieve weeks or months later..

You are still one of the rare well active on the site, a strong and pleasant behaviour in sharing your beautiful interpretations and it is a pleasure to discover them thoughout the year.
