Post by: Brian on August 02, 2017, 10:41:17 AM

Jacques has been getting ready for Kulmbach!!

First you have houses (in resin to save weight) for background to go with your 30mm figures
Show offer 19,95 Euros

Second is a bit different, t-shirts  printed with GE own painted Vignettes, don't know if only available in white but a good start  ;D

Hi all,
Do you all recognize these farm houses? They are copied from the set with card board soldiers from WWI that was shown some weeks ago!

They could be Jan!   They have been  designed after a sketch by L.Rousselot and engraved by D.Lepeltier

Brilliant !!!

Unfortunately for me, my historical periods end before the first Empire (with some exceptions)...

Brian, this background from Rousselot was exposed at the World Expo at Chicago with a magnificient diorama:

But I ignore who was the painter and from where .....

There has been several dioramas like this one made in the 1930's
They were made of paper cuts stuck on wood
Most of them, maybe all, were painted by Lucien Rousselot or Maurice Toussaint
They are real pieces of art

Thank you 'aba' ; I will add the comments of your reference to the pictures at the Wrld expo to explain.
This must have been something exposed sideways to the competition

These pieces although not flats are magnificient !!
They are of the same déviations to flat as "miniatures" or "bas-reliefs" are, from Retuerto, Cesario, Duthilleul, Meier, .... = unique créations and pièces of art.
