Yes alive, and coming 3-4 times a day on the site, but I also notice this long silence.
But still new members joining, if the old ones are deserting;
Perhaps confinement is applicable to Forum too for risk of contamination …
I am not on Facebook, but there is a group of painters present on 3/4 FB sites discussing in parallel. I was afraid that regular Forum might perhaps become slowly too old-fashioned and vintage, and so be deserted to the benefit of new unstructured technologies, where everything is mixed and only sequential.
… or, it is Ramadan month now, and this might not be permitted during day time by the Coran?
(I'm spotting of course, my muslim wife told me no ;D with a bog smile ;D because internet was not existing yet in the VIth Century...)

It is lovely to see posts and yes there are lot's of us still out here!
Activity on the site seems to go in waves with it ebbing a bit during nice weather or holiday season. One huge positive of late has been the surge in folks posting their work - we all are getting a chance to paint it seems.
As far as FaceBook groups I believe there is a pretty healthy discomfort with that site so we will be ok.
Regardless, always nice to see some new conversations on the site greeting me in the morning which I can take in with my coffee.

Here in Germany it´s getting cold and even freezing in the nights with rainy days.

Engraving and getting designs sorted to add to the Alice sets, going to have to get the brushes out and paint something! but what hahaha

The weather is average, but it is still very cold. It's a good time for sitting at the painting table to work on some figures. Enclosed a figure of the"7 Schwaben" (7 suabians), based on an fairy tale by Bros. Grimm. The figure was edited by Retter, now available from Wilfried Dangelmaier.Before carrying on painting, I think it is time for a wee dram... :D

Nice painting of a classic Retter figure!
Personally I prefer a glass of wine sometimes while painting but a dram of peated highland or island spirit is always welcome!
