So, after making the journey to figureworld a few weeks ago and seeing the flats there, I picked up one of the BFFS cards, looked up the website and found all this.
The flats on display were ace, the St.Micheal one was spectacular and it made me want to try painting a flat instead of the figures I'm used to.
I was given this flat of Boney (sorry I don't know the maker/sculptor) by one of my mates who has an unpainted collection and attached are the results, it was a very different painting experience, one I enjoyed, and it helped me understand a little more about shadow placement and contrast.
I'm not happy with the face, eyes especially and would welcome any comments.
A quick thanks to Brian who prompted me to post these up and also sold me some very nice flats for me to practice my skin tones on.
