Hi Michael
The SCFH was created in the 1931 by a group of French collectors; among the well known members were Paul Armont, Charles-Felix Keller, Philippot, Cdt Bucquoy and others
They issued a very well documented and illustrated journal up to the early 1970's when they melt with the Sabretache
In 1958 they started a serie of books about flats, the "Bréviaire du collectionneur de figurines historiques", the first volume being a complete catalogue of the existing figures about the "Italian Wars 1480-1530", with 45 plates of figures drawings
Unfortunately the serie did not go further

Hello Eric
it´s always a pleasure to look at the Mignot and Gottstein figures painted by Douchkine.

My latest project is to paint the GEM series "French artillery marching" in combination with the Ochel artillery of
Louis XIV. The GEM series look very similar to the Mignot French infantry marching I´m still searching.

Have you further informations of the SCFH history ?

Best regards

Michael

This does cover a fairly diverse range of figures - beautifully painted by the way.  This style of presentation is also quite nice and one I may need to consider as my wall space is limited and display cases filing up as well.

Such a colorful time period with a wealth of figures available.  Recently acquired the Historie & Collections book on French flags which covers Louis XIV through the first Empire.  This has sparked off some planning on my part with some Segom color bearers ordered and soon some from Terrana.

Trying to organize my collection I made these three presentation cardboards
First one shows diverses figures painted by Douchkine
Second shows XVIII century french army also by Douchkine (not quite sure of the standard bearers)
Third shows a set issued by the SCFH (société des collectionneurs de figurines historiques) and painted by Leopold Rieche (from the former Breitenstein collection)

But Eric ... I should swop position of the two grenadiers on the left top line as the inner one has an unfriendly attitude to his fellow comrade in arms.
