A EBay Germany purchase - a partial series of Austria 1900 by Kovar.
Looking through the catalog pages it is interesting how the figures are broken up into many little vignettes. (The bulk of the figures are engraved by PE Kovar, all are flawless engravings.)

Particularly love the cafe scene with Austrian soldiers having coffee which unfortunately was not included, which I will need to hunt down.
There is a wonderful series of photos of this same time by Emil Mayer which provide a nice feel for time.

Hi Marko,
I have a question about the engraving. I never heard that Frank was working for Kovar. According to the catalog sheets this is all Kovar engraving. Would you please clarify this for me.

My eye sight is off - it notes it on the catalog page itself - engraver is PE Kovar...apologies.
