Post by: Brian on August 14, 2015, 09:15:05 AM
To give you an idea of Julia's work have a look here some great figures to be found ;) www.atelier-pferdestube.ch

I already have a few of the figures and the casting and engraving is spot on,  well recommended

Well, that is truly some outstanding painting! I'd like to try this one myself. The flat is based on a Vargas painting called 'Memories of Olive' from the early 1920s.

Again, excellent work!

Now to check out Brian's link!

I bought the 2x horse heads ( or are they busts? ;D ;D ;D ) which are beautifully engraved.

I also have the young Gypsy girl, but I have removed her hand and tambourine as I feel they look a bit odd ( sacrilege !! I hear you call ;D ;D ;D )  however the engraving is top notch ;)

Highly Recommended :)

This gal sure does like her horses. Nick, I think you were right about the tambourine...

Hope she does more pinups!

Hi guys,
Thank you for this nice thread!!

Yes, I love the Horses. I had one by my own, and we had a real good time! Lots of adventures!
i try to put that love into the engravings.
The Pinups where just an Idea once, and I didn't know, that I will have so much fun doing them. And I surly will do some more. Beautiful Horses, beautiful woman…think that is a good combination ;-) ( Havnt found a nice Pinup-Boy yet to engrave :-D )
Greetings, Julia

 ;D Good evening,
I still have to laugh about those great Pinup-Boys!! Wonderful Idea. But I don't know, if the Stone for the engraving would not just destroy itselfs :-D Thanks for having fun here.

Here is one more picture of a Horsebüste with Jockey. Rhythm of Turf. Some have seen it in Kulmbach already. This paint horse is really existing on the German racetracks. It calls Silvery Moon. he has one blue eye and one brown eye. they call him also" Two Faces".
Greetings, Julia
