Title: In Memoriam - let's get started
Post by: PJDeluhery on December 08, 2012, 05:02:53 PM
Ok, there's been a suggestion that we have an In Memoriam section to honor those great flat artists you have died. So, lets have some names, and we will put it to a vote. It would be nice to have at least one photo to post with the name when someone is vote in.  So if you have a photo, please say so in your nomination post.  Thanks
After we get this rolling we can start on the Hall of Fame for the living. I thought this subject might be quicker  - and we need to test out the process.
So, have at it, members.

I would add Jim Woodley as a start.  (I have spent the day working on a few of Jim's flat's I purchased last year.)

There is some info on Jim here:

He seemed to touch quite a few folks in the community and certainly did beautiful work!

Both good candidates. I'm thinking we will need a short write-up for each person in this section. Photos appreciated.

Unless something has happened recently, Mike ( kent) Taylor is still with us, so technically this is the wrong area for him.

Perhaps it should be modified for both categories of  living and passed on.

I have many paper pictures of Walter Fisher figures
I could make scan of the best ones
I do think the late Walter does have his place here
If no objection I will work on that

Nice to see photos of figures by Walter Fisher i am a big fan of his. If it was not for him and Lynn Sangster i might never have found Flat figures and all the great people i have meet since.
