Title: Goslar again
Post by: Joerg on March 24, 2013, 06:00:34 AM
Last Saturday a few members of our local group visited the Goslar Zinnfiguren Museum.

Among a lot other interesting and funny stuff there is a special exhibition concerning elephants from A- Abul Abbas, (a white elephant Harun a- Rashid sent to Charlemagne) to Z -Zama battle.
Within this range is a display "Ramses meets Nubian ambassade", made with big figures - yes from metal sheets!

Regards
Joerg

A friendly figures on travel ....

Jörg, thanks for showing.
These are the famous 90mm metal figures of Frederick Deneke?

If so, here are some interesting pictures from the collection.

@Böckchen,
 as far as I know, these are indeed Deneke figures.
There is no particular notice, who lended the exhibits or even who did it originally.
