It reminds me old time long ago when Jean Ernst was making a lot of nice dioramas for a belgian collector about the Burgundian time
I think his name was Deconink but I am not sure
It was in the beginning of the 80thies when the SBF was at its best and when there was a nice little museum in Jette

A very fine job bussy 8) How did you do the back ground :o Willie
-
Yes Eric, J. Ernst made a lot of dioramas for Jean Deconinck. Jean is still alive but very old now (a little more than 90's).
Willie, I didn't make the background, the painter made it. He painted the back ground on a wooden support.
The painter, J. Ernst, was very well known for the quality of his back ground.

A nice diorama.
The figures match the background very well.

I remember that Jean Ernst had a great skill to create a perspective
He used to make small silhouettes cut in copper leaves to occupy the background of his dioramas
