Hi
Just come acreoss this illustration .No idea where or who did the illustration but I suspect our favorite engravers could do a wonderful job of it .It would look fantastic painted though I disapprove of whale hunting . :)

it would be a nice flat, something for Vladimir N. ???; he has the experience with complex moulds.

Its by a UK  artist called Steve Dales  and called Mobius Dick after the Mobius band which forms the ' eight' . Jillian Nickell also does a fairly similar design though just featuring a ship ,sea and whale .

Not exactly my area of interest, BUT it would make a nice flat; blue water, wooded boats, colorful sailors, and the white whale. It's potentially striking. That said, assume it's copyrighted and permission to produce as a commercial flat would be required. Ditto on licensing fees. It's the way of the world...

I have tried contacting the artist but no reply yet .The mobius band itself  is not a copyright issue .

Spoke to Vladimir on the idea and this is all he said

 "What about the picture you sent me - I think it may be engraved but the question is - what's the price..."

Yep think your looking at a lot of beer tokens  ???

It´ll be tough negotiations about the price.

The BFFS has got the experience with the Robin-Hood-Mould ....
