Title: Gustavus Adolphus bei Lützen
Post by: snagy on October 21, 2019, 03:10:15 AM
I have recently received a small group, that represents the death of Gustavus Adolphus.
Unfortunately I have no information neither about the engraver, nor about the editor - but the figures are  amazingly engraved and molded.
Each figure is very detailed and clearly done.
They are simply beautiful - real masterworks!
Does anybody know these figures and can give some further information about them?
Thank you-
Sandor

Same for me, bought also the serie from EBay.de. to paint early next year.....

They come from Fechner, serie SHA 230/... but seemingly no longer available; engraving ? Sixtus Meier? (to be read on the base)
They arrived at home, but I am in a foreign country ...

Hello,

the figures were original edited by Neckel and sold on to Mr. Fechner who sold the moulds recently to Frank Dittmar in Schmalkalden.

I don´t know if the figures belonged original together as a set. The Fechner number SHA 230/... only mentioned the number of the catalog page.

The engravers are as far as I know from left to right:

Mohr / ? / Ludwig Frank / Ludwig Frank / Ludwig Frank
