Mignot's Napoleon's Wedding Carriage is one of the most iconic sets for a collector .
I was able to acquire this one thanks to an assist from Joerg (thank you again) from a collector in Germany.
Casting are all first rate - it is a large, beautiful set.

An exquisite painted example from Bistufli's (http://www.zinnfiguren-bistulfi.com) site:

Some contemporary depictions of the event:

and one of his carriages:

Finally, no surprise there is an excellent writeup in BFFS Journal #39 by Ed Humphreys complete with color instructions.

Lucky guy. Are you going to paint it?

Nice. Between the people, the horses, and the carriage, that would be one complicated project!
The only thing missing are the beer cans trailing behind the coach and a glitter sign reading 'nouveaux mariƩs' (or something to that effect).
;D

Of course I intend to paint it...along with the other 1,000 or so figures, 200 or so rounds and 100 or so WWI aircraft etc.
Always good intentions. In this case unlike my usual practice I intend to do both sides as well.
It is also interesting to imagine what affect a few hundred horses and carriages would have had on a dusty street on a nice summer day in Paris among thousands of celebrating and possibly tipsy on-lookers. ???
In any case just put end to end this will make quite a display.

Its almost though not quite as elaborate as an Essex wedding .Pink coach, pink and white horses etc ,.In fact you could just write "TOWIE" on the coach .Looks great but I would get fed up painting it all after a coach and horses and a figure or two .

Sorry to show my lack of knowledge about a hobby I so enjoy but I've never seen this set before, it truly is beautiful, I can see why it is "considered Iconic"
