Title: Looking for Landsknechts...
Post by: Christoph on October 06, 2017, 06:25:20 AM
Hello,
after some years of collecting mainly 30mm flats from the 30 years war period I started to be interested in the Age of the Italian wars and the Landsknechts at the beginning of the 16th century.
The following Editors of flats (30mm) come to my mind: Scholtz, Wilken, Schmalkaldener Zinnfiguren, Ochel, Mineur, Koss, Stoll, Carl, Dangelmaier, Gottstein.
Does anyone of you have futher names for me?
Thanks for your help.
Christoph

Those are all that I know of, although Scholtz by itself should be sufficient - they have a huge number of landsknechts. I'm about to start on Mineur's Venetians - they're beautifully engraved and the castings are perfect - highly recommended!

There are too the figures of Neckel. They are amongst the best.

If you are interested in the Italians Wars, you have the knights of the king François the Ist by Glorious Empire.

Hi,
check also Fechner's catalogue. I believe some Neckel landsknechts and knights are in his possession now.

Hi Christoph,

please have a look at the Website of Fechner http://www.fechner-zinnfiguren.de/shop/katalog.php?seite=232 starting at page 232. The original editor was Ruthard Weinert from Berlin (around 1938-1943) and the engravers were Ludwig Frank and Sixtus Maier.
Additional you contact Offizin Fritz Menz and find "Landsknechte im Marsch" engraved by Johannes Frauendorf.

regards henry

Zinnfiguren Fleesensee has a small collection too. (and many figures for German Peasant war)
Try Antiquariat Nussbaum - they have the Fohler Moulds of Landsknecht Artillery for Siege of Kufstein 1504

Hallo,

Italienkriegen herausbringt.

Viele Grüße
Zinnmartina
