This is a good idea, to re-open some works from those who gave us this passion !!
I have also all French magazines "Figurines" from No 1 till today in PDF.They contain reeportings of the mains Shows in Europe and sme in the USA, since .... 1994 !
But very few pictures related to flats.

One exemple is Sèvres 1995, a flat from Conrad Schultz "Kaiser Maximilian"

a quality we have sometimes difficulty to find today also ... like some of your pictures given below !!!!

Perhaps we can collect these jewelleries before they are lost .... on this forum, in a gallery.
I tried to collect pictures from European shows back to ... 2007, but before impossi ble to fnd on internet or in forums, they have cleaned their old data.

Therefore I can suggest to load these pictures re-discovered in shows galeries.

Mark can perhaps open one(1) show gallery per year for years 1990 to 2005 and call each of them "Old Shows 1991", "Old Shows 1992", .....

Then each of us will load pictures discovered in our ccc  (I will read ans screen all "Figurines" from start and pick up the pitures related to flats).

Loading will indicate in the description above the picture:  The show name and year  (Chicago 1995, Sèvres 1997, Blagnac 1993, ...  , followed by the name of the painter.

Then at the bottom (in the description détails, indicate the name of the flat and any elevent détails if known =size, award or BoS, ....)  This in order later to use the SEARCH function and trace back these pictures easily !! This tool is ver powerful.

If you have problems with the quality of the picture, you can email them to me I will standardize the size, adjust contrast, clean any dust, and adjts frame and alignment as facing up, before loading.  I would leave my private email to send them easily and I can load and indicate WHO has provided the picture, as I do since three years in eh Shows.

This will give a very lice and unique long history of the flats, to the benefit of the whole Communit.

If idea is agreed, I will start reading the magazines starting next week and extract the pictures ad data information data related to them; I will report in the forum the years where I found pictures, so in a few weeks, Marko can open these Old Shows years, where there will be pictures, and open them progressively instead of all at once remaning void or empty for a while !!!

Opening one show per year is better as we can find allpicture of a same year and which show in the title.  You can use existing show names as guidance to name the first art of the description.  Author shoud contain frst name of initial and full last name to recognize the person, not just he first name ... as shos are related to 10 to 15 years backwards ...

Thanks to give your objections or agreement on this proposal or any other.  The Gallery today is one of the largest compedium of painted flat made available electronically to all probably in the world !!!

Michel

I've started screening the Magazine "Figurines" since its creation in 1994 for flat pictures during shows.

The numbers of reported shows increases from 10-15 in years 1990's to 25 later; about 1/3 of half have at leat one picture of a flat.
So far I have for 1994: 6 pictures, for 1995: 10 pictures, for 1996: 12 pictures.
After years 2006, I took over the pictures in full shows in the gallery (including US shows). So some 10 years to screen and perhaps open on show per Old years ...
For Euro Militaire and Chicago, sometimes I overlap your pictures, sometimes you bring other ones: very useful exercise !
Also a few are repeating withn the same year if presented at more than one show. Onecan indicate the other show (postérior) in the comments below the picture, if the picture is the same  (example not:  One flat of Kaiser Maximilian, pictured in two shows but on each side of the flat, so interesting to show too (Konrad Schultze)

I'll work on a couple of more years in the 2000's.....  If you find fresher pictures, after 2007-2008, please add them in the related show, if existing..

It is very interesting to discover for me, young painter, some mythic flats of the great names that you probably have seen by yourself, honorable painters yourself!

Wow some of us have been at this a long time...  I recognize all of these pictures/figures except that from 1979.  I have added a new Show Gallery Category called Miscellaneous Show Pictures with sub categories by decades at the moment.

Superb, Jean Paul and fesaek_j, I will add them, when reaching these years with the Figurines screening, so the pictures will be loaded in chronology and combine with any other of the same show I find.  I have some dispersed pictures from shows, but not enough to open a show just for 2/3 pictures; this will allow it.

I have loaded my pictures from the magazine Figures, for the years 1994 and 1995, and preparing 1996 now.  Loading is done by year and even by month and show, so in chronology (inverted r not as you adjust your choices in seeing the pictures ...).

On that show is also an egyptian dio of 'Catherine Thouvenel' to add also .. but ....is she not later Cesario? or are they two distinct persons?
(the day after: ... Yes, same person:  Thouvenel .. Césario .. Poisson)

Here is the Mussini flat ..

fesak_j,
Thank you or the pictures below, for the Di Franco picture of Kaiser Maximilian in the MasterClass book of Bill Horan, as i was published in 1994, I will use that date as 'date of painted'.
On the next year, Konrad Shultze painted almost the same and exposed it in Europe (Sèvres 1995) = added in the gallery yesterday.

For the last pict, I found the picture in a French article of JP Duthilleux explaining fr beginners how to paint horses  on page 16.  Therefore I cannot add this picture in the old Shows gallery, it is out of subject here.

Thanks Mark, I'll add them in the gallery today...

Do you have any such other articles, in the previous and later years?
This article relates to the 11th Euromilitaire 1996, held in September 1996. I'll choose the best pictures between Figurines and this magazine, where present in both, but will refer to both articles...

Hello Michel,

I have been going through some old modelling files of late hence the spate of uploads to the site.  In some cases I filed articles in a variety of places and so I am surprised by what I find at times.  Expect for things to pop up as I uncover another small cache of materials.  (I did finally do a major clean out of old articles a number of years ago so it is not a large effort any more but, things add up.  Sadly no one was interested in old modelling articles going back to the early 1970s so everything on planes/tanks and most figure articles went in the bin.)

Somewhat like going through old sports memorbiia or photo albums it is somewhat nostalgic I am finding.  Lots of old faces and work of folks over the year that I admired...

Thank you for your comments, Mark.
When I went through old magazines from the 80's and end of 70s related to rondes-bosss figures, I was quiat amazed y the iant step made in painting ever since, and how some looked naïve then as compared o today.

But I was quiet surprised to discover the high level of quality in some flat paintings of the 90's and how far some of us are still today from these painters !

One good exemple is the Woodley knight of 1995 ......

So we should not neglect the experience of our oldies, they have opened a pathway of an art active still today ... and sme of them are qiuet amazing !!!!

And years 2006, 2007 and 2008 loaded aswell, most are European flats, with list of shows galleries when separate, for each year.
Moving slowly to the years 2010's with more separate shows galleries .... in a new sub-gallery.

Sorry that is as much information as I have - just a page pulled out of the magazine and filed.  I am suspicious about the last name spelling as well but, it matches the magazine.
