hello !
excuse me for my English language !!! i want to paint this flat in oïl , and i want to know the color to copy the picture
it 's my first flat !!!

Bonsoir
Bon courage
Eric

Ahhhh ... we go all French now!
I which that all the paintings by Rousselot from Napoleon´s Egyptian campaigne could be published in some form. Earlier they were to be seen at the Army Museum in Paris. But now they are gone from the walls, hidden away from the public eye, which i do regret as I was there with my camera.

I believe they are all published in one of the French magazines. There were two issues dedicated to Egyptian campaign. The pictures are not so good as in Rousselot's Guard Cavalry book but still big and sharp enough.

Eric, it would be good to put colour plates into a topic area in the member's section somewhere if they are available ;)

Could Marko open a new category, let's say "Uniformology", in the member section, where we could share informations, pictures and so ...?

Good idea, but is so, please make subsections by periods : (approximately)
Antiquity, (up to 476)
Middle Ages (476-1453)
Renaissance (1453-1610)
Ancien Regime (circ. 1610-1790)
Empires (1790-1818)
XIX (1820-1899)
Modern (1900-todate)
Others
to avoid a meting pot in the future ..

Nice job on the camel ;D If you look at some pictures of camels look at there front legs where there knee is sometimes there pads are thick there as the get older. Camels are funny there temperament ranges from they want to bite you ,kick you, to they love you and follow you around a dog and even kiss you ::) I know I had one name Portland and worked her in the movies ::) Willie
