A diorama arises: Connewitz 1813
http://www.zinnfigurenfreunde-leipzig.de/g31.htm (http://www.zinnfigurenfreunde-leipzig.de/g31.htm)

To mark the anniversary of the Battle of the Nations is currently being built for a new diorama Dölitz the gatehouse.There is the hitherto little noticed fights
present in the south of Leipzig.
The pictures document the emergence and to the current status
The first figure is the diorama, so we can at this point here are the secrets of the Leipzig diorama building airing:
1 always the right mediums [attach=1]
2 modern technology in the diorama [attach=2]
3 and plenty of nature
4 Housing program, from day laborer house, elegant apartment buildings and
suburb residences to 1813. [attach=3]

My task is to solve the Building Program.
I address a contemporary techniques as known in model railway area.
The windows and some other elements were cut by LaserCat technique in scale 1:55.
Main component of the model homes are 2mm papp,
covered with a self-hardening Modeliermasse clay.
In this Modeliermasse different representations can be a model.
Here are some pictures of the almost realistic representation, with damaged windows, cracks in brickwork, wooden beams and bricks.

 Some must be changed as found in this sample preparation itself, which is bounded on the spatial schedule line.
 But that's normal.

Yes it's been gone a few days into the country.
Now that we have of the Leipzig Verinigung the collector, green light,
we can build diorama at Connewitz again.
Here are a couple pictures for reference sample and the background scenery.
I think I can show compelling material of images in the nights and days, weeks.
Currently we are working with high pressure on the left side dioramas, so the side with the French troops during deployment duch the district.
The Middle Part dominated by the bridgehead.
  And the law too is characterized by the deployment of troops Östereischen in the riparian forest. The surface Dimensions Length about 2.00 m and the depth ca.1,50m.

In the current phase of construction, model houses and scenes are for uniting with each other. with so we get a smooth transition to the background.
[attach=1]
Since due to the size of the dioramas, we are in the rear part been watering start working.
part - creation of the landscape on the background (here at Jörg Hensel)
an other part, auserhalb with work on the site.

we see the incorporation of the first trees and create the paths in the grounds around the church mountain.

Well before a preview of the wedding with horizon scenery and models.

Anticipation nor the info. all figures are provided with metal studs, inserted only at later time in the ready mode lined and colored ground. Thus we have no problems with the footbed of the figures.
Unfortunately, the mill in Vodergrund will not fit because we ran out of space. A andeutug which one can imagine Duch of the the River Ruhr.

Post by: böckchen on April 20, 2015, 03:49:58 AM

Today was the further work on the transition to the background theme.
Allso tuning the sizes verhältnise of houses and trees ....
Also, the substrate is provided with pieces of modeling clay and grass mats ....

Here we take a reference sample for the trees. It is very important to us here, to get the riparian forest as realistic as possible over. Without our other figures in the Forest disappear from.

We decide to a "V" shape to draw up the trees.
In the middle of the front, the biggest and most beautiful and copies should be available.
To the rear the smaller trees are staggered used ..

a leak or to avoid unangeneme blistering.
now mus the resin only to dry. the Solte happen in 24 hours.
Sinks were filled and already from tares.

Water splashes and other effects for the river crossing of the French Infantry
[attachimg=1]
Today I want to use a new product.

It is a wise Geel, which is stable and transparent cures.

The ideal product to modelieren to water waves and splashes diverse.

-the mass I modeled with a wooden foot.
-after a few hours, the begint Geel to tocknen and already become somewhat transparent. Aushertung after 24 hours according to the manufacturer!

- But only after an extended period (1 week), the result,
Substans as plastic and completely transparent.

Note;
  also this product can be dyed is acrylic based.

After a long period. :o
Now even the first figures are painted and for installation on the outer edge (background - scenery) ready.
[attachimg=1]
The figures have no more Fusbretchen. All figures are provided with Stalstifften. This work is something aufändiger, but the best solution for quality dioramas construction.

The garden at the mill has also been designed. :)

It really should come true!
So slowly we come to the end of an almost four-year work.
The already weakened figures in the foreground, were now inserted and the window frames with disk past also perfect.

Now, only individual figures are painted, decoratively decorated and colorings matched.

It is the first large building site to a diorama, where we also thought of the purely human needs. No, I do not mean the beer and the barbecue sausage and the leek cake for between times. Special the quiet place, WC.   ;) ;) ;)[attachimg=1]

We also thought of the pastor's avowed friends. The ravens are flying around.
In our case, our ravens are on 0.10mm spring steel. So thus almost invisibly fixed. :o :o :o :o :o

Thanks for your interest. I hope I can show still more beautiful pictures of the action environment. I would like to remind you that the diorama is a joint work. And each participant is a misterter of his compartment. Thus, the painting of the figures by S. Klisch, F. Bähr, F. Hartmann, J. Hänsel, P. Henscnel, G. Haustein, was praised.
Building and water design by me.
The gun models from the hand of J. Tiehze
The area of F.Bähr u d Ch. Bähr
The background of J. Hänsel.
Lighting by P. Hensel
So there were still a lot of helpers and sponsors to make this work. All my thanks and respect for their work.
