Title: Mamelukes - Blum / Krog
Post by: marko on July 17, 2015, 07:28:19 PM
These are lovely figures about 40 mm in size in won from EBay Germany.  The seller indicated:

[attach=1]

Editor : Eugen BLUM ,  Zürich ,Switzerland  + 1962
                Signatur on the figure EB
Engraver : Ludwig Madlener , Signatur ML

They are marked EB and SM and I think Sixtus Maier is the correct engraver rather than Madlener with the designs matching 8 of the 10 figures from Gottstein/Krog's Mamelukes?

Regardless stunning figures.

Hello Mark,

the Editor was Eugen Blum, the engraver was Sixtus Maier and this ist the series of mamelukes. The mould were changed after the death of Eugen Blum to Kollbrunner, also than to Krog.
