Sandor,
the figures are painted by Michael Behring himself. He is a professional figure painter, has his own edition of flat figures and has made some of the drawings for the figures
from Mr. Tylinski. Unfortunately he has no presence in the Internet until now.
For me he is from special interest because most of his figures are beside the Mainstream. You will find Zulus, Touaregs, Aztecs, South- and North- American Indians, Mahdists, French Foreign Legion in Indochina and Mexican and US - Soldiers for the war of 1846-1848.

I know that it is not in focus now, but the paintwork on the figures are excellent.
Anybody painted them, made excellent work!

There are some more figures available from Michael Behring...
The picture below is from his showcase at Schmalkalden, two years ago.
In Addition to the Mexican Soldiers he has some US - Soldiers too.

It is an excellent idea.  Many Napoleonic era uniforms will work or with some very minor changes will work as will some of the 1870 era and it will be very colorful and unique.  Should be fun!

What do you think of using figures from other periods to create different Armies since a lot of uniforms followed the
Napoleonic pattern and French all the way to the 1870 This could even go for South America The new book The US-MEXICAN War 1846-1848 published by Wing Hussar and the Pacific War Willie
