Ever since seeing Ken Pipes rendition of these figures they have been on my list.

These were part of a birthday order from Berliner Zinnfiguren which arrived today - took a while - but, all beautiful castings, very safely wrapped and packaged.

 I got this set many years ago when I was a teenager and they are nice to paint. I wish they could have some US Marines and other countries to go along with it . Willie

There is a nice painting of Carl Röchling (1855-1920), "Germans to the front", look at Google or Wikipedia.
