Jean's figures stood up there with the best, Segom was always there at the top of the list of figures you need for your collection.
High priced but once you got them worth every penny,  will be greatly missed.

I just saw this notice on Steve Lloyd's site which was passed on from Eric Talmant:

“I am sorry to inform you that Jean Barrière, ruler of the SEGOM company, passed away a few days ago. He was the last and only French professional editor of flats. For years he has been creating sets of flat figures and contributed to the flat figures collecting renewal here in France. This is a sad loss for our little flat world. He leaves a wife and a son.”

Very sad loss, I have many, many of his figures in my collection.

I just learned of the disappearance of Jean Barriere, the French manufacturer of flat figures. I'm very sorry.  :'(
