Hi All,

That is a great looking ship, both beautirfully painted here.
I had also bought one piece from Fechner after seeing one of Ingrid Nyuken's diorama featuring this model.

A great little set you have there Mark.
Very nice painting on the ship. I look forward to seeing the completed set. (after Christmas. No pressure mate)

Thanks Eric,

I came to a similar conclusion after taking another look at the picture you added of the completed set.  Should be a simple fix next weekend, I also need to work on the rudder and the ropes.

Also completed a very pleasing Neckel Bavarian but, the picture was a bit washed out, he will have to wait.

I am awash in beautiful figures of late and have a week long holiday coming up so am fairly chuffed about what lays ahead.

very nice Mark, I see the cast shadow man's  been on even before the paints dry !!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

It does puzzle me, considering the sun never shines in Northern France, he does seem to work these out fairly well! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Well done Mark
You should make a difference with light and shado between the left side, the  underside and the back of the boat to give more relief and deepness : full light for the left side, rather dep shadow for the under, medium light or shadow for the back

Two days of fun...

Just needs some general clean up and the ropes painted in with some cast shadows.  A very unusual/enjoyable figure to tackle.

This is a very nice set
I remember a very good diorama somewhere on the net
Fechner has a very wide range of figures and it is very easy to deal with them

Purchased this recently from Fechner - very fast service to the US after ordering online via their site and paying through PayPal.

The casting is absolutely superb with the ship particularly stunning, which given it's size shows some skillful casting.

I have been having a gas with the ship today along with some Bavarians which I will post tomorrow.
