looks better to me, except the white and yellow = white to be smaller on upper edges of tissue and better melted at junction with yellow (smoother transition), ...   For the sword, one way is to give a bit of shadow on the adjacent metal to increase the contrast, like wih blue black+some whiete or peyne grey = with metal, the higher the contrast at intersetion, the more brillant the white wil appear....

Well now I have added the good advices that I was given and this is what came out of it.
However the highlight on the sword is not as strong on the picture as in real life :-\ but as long is going that way then I am happy   ;D
I am very happy with the result and appreciate your comments and advices, thank you very much  ;)

Thank you Brian!
I like the delicate tones and highlights of the folding in the caparison !!
I would just suggest you mark the same highlights on the foldings and high side of the horse head, fine line also at the upper edge of the tissue of the horse eye, and give a slight roundness on the shield = highlight left edge and darken the right side as these surfaces also receive the light you gave to the caparison...

Hello hobby friends

This is my latest miniature, 30 mm flat painted in oils. It depicts the Danish  knight
Sir Saxo Aagesen vassal of Reval (today known as Tallin) in Estonia.
He was born around the year 1200 and died in Reval in the year 1259.
Saxo Aagesen was out of the great Hvide family.

I have tried to make 3 different variants of blue to show, that different materials render different hues of the same colour.

Hope you like it, but feel free to comment

Best wishes and happy painting to you all
Brian
