Thank you Mark for a first feedback.

The first image is saved and we will create a group of characters.
Since we can not implement the original image as a figure, we will have to modify some. :D

Wow dynamic, lovely figures - really quite nice.  The group on the right would also work in an Old American West context as well.

Very much like the thought process behind this, specific engagement in the ACW, design based on some existing paintings, drawings - production of said figures and I suspect one of his excellent dioramas.  Really shows the art form quite well.

Thank you for sharing.

P.S. I still have your Confederate troops on the way into battle as part of my short list to purchase next year.

Hi Wolfgang. Have you given any thought to a few pieces (or a full set) of the 11th Indiana Regiment (Wallace's Zouaves)? They were a Union unit formed in 1861. They wore overall gray uniforms with minimal red trim around the neck, front, and waist of the jacket. There were no buttons on the jacket which hung open to reveal a standard Union Blue shirt. Kepis were gray with vertical piping on the seams and a red top. Officers may have worn an all red kepi. At least one artist had depicted an officer wearing a gray vest with a red center placket and and gold buttons, and standard shoulder rank tabs, but with a red background. Everything else was standard Union gaiters and boots. All other equipment - belts, ammunition pouches, canteens, and weapons were all standard Union for the period. They kept the uniforms for the first few months of the war, but later switched to Union Blue with light blue trim.

I don't think anyone has done a figure (round or flat) of this unit.

Just a thought...

Cheers,

Glen

Glen,
Thanks for the comments  :o :o
now essentially I would not like too much define when it comes to certain parts of uniforms.
Especially since in the course of years walking far the Unifom was held liberal.
Thus, a certain reitz is to allow incur even a few exotics.
Especially I like that at this epoch.
f they understand what I mean ......! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I'm no knobs counter to the characters, which is not shown on the figure is painted ....
However, I am very grateful for this instructions, and shall also comply with such into account. ;) ;) ;)

Glad to help. Most of the Zouave units in the north and south had very colorful and splashy uniforms. The 11th Indiana Regt was bland by comparison (and easier to paint). A goggle search turned up these. The enlisted rifleman is by Troani; the officer is by Jeff Burn.

Cheers,

Glen

These paint up beautifully!

Though I confess I can never look at a Union cavalryman without thinking of the devastating quote from an infantryman of the time - "who has ever seen a dead cavalryman..." illustrating his disdain for the arm.

Really like the flag bearers.
