Two beauties purchased at Kulmach by Mr. Nick for me.
An indian and a trapper canoe both engraved by Ludwig Frank edited by Loy and now Maier.

I once smiled at the statement of just painting figures painted by Ludwig Frank - as it turns out not bad advice. Goodness the gentlemen was prolific!.

Their co- ordination is rubbish, aren't they suppose to both be going down river??? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
can't go wrong with quality like that ;)

Beautifu and very delicate engravings !!!

Here we go again Mark, I have them both. Plus lots of Indians/settlers, buffalo hunt etc. All terrific figures.
There was a diorama at Kulmbach 2013 using these figures, I expect it is in the gallery.

I am going to have to dig deeply into my collection to outwit you apparently... ???
Currently my brush is buried in various flags, canoes will come soon.

The trappers in the canoe is the first figure I've done for a future diorama, called "Rendez-vous". It will show a meeting between indians, trappers and fur traders in French Canada.
Hope to finish it for next Kulmbach........
