Roger, an interesting topic!

I was actually there last summer with Soderburg.
've Done with "Mom" and the little vacation there.
O.k. Legoland and stand were interresanter for them.
But something had to jesder experiences.

Those were the first standing struggle of trench to trench.

Thank you Mark. The 2nd Schleswig War is somewhat overshadowed by events on the other side of the Atlantic but I hope I've raised a bit of interest.  ;)

Tomorrow (18th April) is the anniversary of the 
which was fought in 1864 between the The kingdoms of Prussia and Denmark during the 2nd Schleswig War.

This little vignette using 30mm figs is inspired by the attached painting of the Danish 8th Brigade counter attacking the Prussians. During this attack the 8th Brigade lost about half their men killed, wounded or captured and prevented a total rout of the Danish forces.
